Savvas Xiros has not yet been transferred to Thessaloniki’s hospital, and remains in the dungeon of Koridallos prisons. The public prosecutor of Piraeus reintroduced the case of Savvas’ motion for a stay of execution of his sentence. The prosecutor now demands that the prisoner will not be treated in a hospital of his own choice—as provided by law—but according to the choice of the antiterrorist unit of the Greek police.

Il 5 Luglio 2012 la Corte del Pireo ha deciso di sospendere la pena detentiva di Savvas Xiros solo per cinque mesi, accettando questa volta la sua ennesima mozione per la sospensione dell’esecuzione della pena in modo da essere ricoverato presso l’ospedale AHEPA di Salonicco.

On July 5th, 2012 the First Three-Member Misdemeanor Court of Piraeus decided to discontinue the prison sentence of Savvas Xiros only for five months, accepting this time his umpteenth motion for a stay of execution of his sentence so as to be hospitalized at the AHEPA hospital of Thessaloniki. According to the ruling, Savvas will be placed under constant police guard during that whole period.
