In April 2010, in a joint letter with my comrades Pola Roupa and Nikos Maziotis, we claimed political responsibilityfor our participation in Revolutionary Struggle (Epanastatikos Agonas). We declared that we’re proud of the organization and our fellow fighter Lambros Foundas, who was killed by cops in the armed scuffle of Dafni.
Today I’m standing opposite you, in this special court, facing grave charges that draw many years of imprisonment. All this time there’s been a systematic effort on State’s part at my expense, so as to bend my will for struggle: from the torturing and battering in GADA (Athens police headquarters) and my imprisonment far away from my children’s residence, to the committal for trial against my spouse Maria Beraha, who is present here as co-defendant. However, I’m standing here opposite you and I declare that I’m proud of my struggle, my comrades and the history of Revolutionary Struggle.
In no case is my presence here intended to extenuate my place, since I don’t accept any charge that’s been laid against me by the bourgeois regime. It’s not I who is the criminal or the terrorist; neither do I consider that the organization’s actions were by any means harmful to society. The organization’s actions and interventions were profoundly political and beneficial to society, because they were directed solely against the regime, its officials and lackeys. They were directed against the structures and individuals of the capitalist system, which oppresses and tyrannizes the socially weak.
Thus, it is not we who should stand trial here as dangerous to society. Dangerous to society are those who govern and plunder the people over the past years. It is they who serve the plans of the Troika (IMF/ECB/EU) and the supranational Capital faithfully, aiming at the exsanguination and impoverishment of the Greek people. It is they who impose unbearable economic measures in order to save the credit money system and its excessive profits. It is they who shield all those who have embezzled the wealth and labour of the people, and never put any of them on the stand. It is they who unleash their murderers to repress any social response.
As Revolutionary Struggle fighters, we acted and act for the overthrow of capitalism and the State, for a free world where complete equality of people will be achieved in economic, social and political terms. The organization was born within the proletarian strata of society and has always strived for its interests. Every action of the organization, every proclamation was a glimmer of light for the society, a cry of relief for the oppressed, a hope that this unjust regime can be overthrown. The oppressed, the weak, the proletarians, the unemployed, our class allies are the ones who should judge us, and not you. In the streets, the squares, the assemblies… There where you’re all convicted.
So, I would like to make clear that this special court, like any other court of the bourgeois regime, cannot rule upon armed revolutionary organizations. A very simple reason for this is because the interests you serve and the class you belong to, stand opposite us a priori. This court is classist, and it judges using the ‘law’ of the dominant against the revolutionary law, the law of a handful of fighters who strive for the social liberation. The action of Revolutionary Struggle cannot be judged by you, simply because this action is directed against you, the capitalist system and the classist justice that you serve faithfully. We are two warring forces. You’re armored behind specially modulated spaces inside the prisons, behind special legislations, and intend to deride us and depoliticize our action before you convict us. Our own presence here is intended to reverse the charges against us into accusations against you, against the system you serve, and to demonstrate that your own acts are criminal and dangerous to society. The political battle which will be given in this court, for us, constitutes the tribune so as to highlight the justness of our struggle.
In this battle, we’re not alone. We have a large part of society by our side, which has disdained the political-economic system and dynamically demands that all of its factors leave the place. This fact is a vindication of our choices. The armed struggle against the regime is today more timely and more imperative than ever. Because there’s no other way for us, the proletarians, to successfully overcome the crisis than to conduct revolution. In the class clash which shall follow in the upcoming period, both inside and outside of this courtroom, we will be winners.

En abril del 2010, en una carta conjunta con mis compas Pola Roupa y Nikos Maziotis, asumimos la responsabilidad políticade nuestra participación en la Lucha Revolucionaria (Epanastatikos Agonas). Declaramos que estamos orgullosxs de la organización y de nuestro compa de lucha, Lambros Foundas, asesinado por maderos en la reyerta armada de Dafni.Hoy me encuentro frente a ustedes, en este tribunal especial, enfrentándome a cargos graves que implican muchos años de prisión. Todo este tiempo el Estado ha hecho un esfuerzo sistemático a mi costa, para frenar mi deseo de lucha. Desde la tortura y las palizas en GADA (Cuartel General de Policía de Atenas) y mi encarcelamiento lejos de la residencia de mis hijxs, hasta el sometimiento a juicio de mi esposa, Maria Beracha, que se encuentra aquí como co-acusada. De cualquier forma, estoy aquí frente a ustedes y declaro que estoy orgulloso de mi lucha, de mis compas y de la historia de Lucha Revolucionaria.
Mi presencia aquí no pretende, de ninguna manera, suavizar mi situación, ya que no acepto ningún cargo de los que me acusa el régimen burgués. No soy yo el criminal o terrorista; ni pienso que las acciones de la organización fueran, de ninguna manera, dañinas para la sociedad. Las acciones e intervenciones de la organización fueron profundamente políticas y beneficiosas para la sociedad, dado que estaban dirigidas exlusivamente contra el régimen, sus oficiales y sus lacayxs. Estaban dirigidas contra las estructuras e individuxs del sistema capitalista, que oprimen y tiranizan a lxs socialmente débiles.
Por tanto, no somos nosotrxs quienes deberíamos estar en juicio aquí mostradxs como amenazas para la sociedad. Amenazas para la sociedad son quienes han gobernado y robado al pueblo durante años. Son ellxs quienes sirven fielmente a los planes de la Troika (FMI/BCE/UE) y del Capital supranacional, intentando sangrar y el empobrecer al pueblo griego. Son ellxs quienes imponen medidas económicas insoportables para salvar el sistema monetario y crediticio y sus ganancias excesivas. Son ellxs quienes protegen a todxs lxs que han malversado la riqueza y el trabajo del pueblo, y nunca lxs han puesto ante los tribunales. Son ellxs quienes sueltan a sus asesinxs para reprimir cualquier resistencia social.
Nosotrxs, como combatientes de la Lucha Revolucionaria, hemos actuado y actuamos por el derrocamiento del Capitalismo y el Estado, por un mundo libre donde la plena igualad de las personas se logre en términos económicos, sociales y políticos. La organización nació de la clase proletaria de la sociedad y siempre ha luchado por sus intereses. Cada una de sus acciones, cada proclama fue un haz de luz para la sociedad, un grito de alivio para lxs oprimidxs, una esperanza de que este régimen injusto puede ser derrocado. Lxs oprimidxs, lxs débiles, lxs proletarixs, lxs desempleadxs, nuestrxs aliadxs de clase son quienes deben juzgarnos y no ustedes. En las calles, en las plazas, en las asambleas… Ahí donde los han condenado a todxs ustedes.
Así que me gustaría dejar claro que ni este tribunal especial, ni cualquier otro tribunal del régimen burgués, puede juzgar a las organizaciones revolucionarias armadas. Una razón muy simple para ello es que los intereses a los que sirven y la clase a la que pertenecen, está opuesta a nosotrxs a priori. Este tribunal es clasista, y juzga usando la “ley” del dominio contra la ley revolucionaria, la ley de un puñado de luchadrxs que luchan por la liberación social. La acción de Lucha Revolucionaria no la pueden juzgar ustedes, ya que, sencillamente, esta acción va dirigida contra ustedes, contra el sistema capitalista y contra la justicia clasista a la que fielmente sirven. Somos dos fuerzas en conflicto. Ustedes se escudan tras espacios especialmente modulados dentro de las cárceles, tras legislaciones especiales e intentan burlarse de nosotrxs y despolitizar nuestra acción antes de condenarnos. Nuestra propia presencia aquí tiene como objetivo convertir los cargos contra nosotrxs en acusaciones contra ustedes, contra el sistema al que sirven, y demostrar que sus propios actos son criminales y amenazas para la sociedad. La batalla política que se llevará a cabo en este tribunal, para nosotrxs, constituye la tribuna desde la que destacar lo justo de nuestra lucha.
En esta batalla, no estamos solxs. Tenemos de nuestro lado a una gran parte de la sociedad que ha desdeñado el sistema político-económico y, de forma dinámica, exige que todos sus factores abandonen el lugar. Este hecho constituye una vindicación de nuestras elecciones. La lucha armada contra el régimen es hoy más oportuna y más imperativa que nunca. Porque nosotrxs, lxs proletarixs, no tenemos otro camino para conseguir superar la crisis que hacer la revolución. En la lucha de clases que seguirá al periodo entrante, tanto dentro como fuera de esta sala, en la calle, nosotrxs venceremos.

ΔΗΛΩΣΗ ΤΟΥ ΚΩΣΤΑ ΓΟΥΡΝΑ ΣΤΗ ΔΙΚΗ ΤΟΥ ΕΑ (24.10.2011)
Σήμερα βρίσκομαι απέναντί σας σ’ αυτό το ειδικό δικαστήριο αντιμέτωπος με βαρύτατες κατηγορίες που επισύρουν πολλά χρόνια φυλάκισης. Όλο αυτό το διάστημα έγινε εις βάρος μου συστηματική προσπάθεια, απ’ την πλευρά του κράτους, για να καμφθεί η βούλησή μου για αγώνα. Από τα βασανιστήρια και τους ξυλοδαρμούς στη ΓΑΔΑ, τη φυλάκισή μου μακριά από τον τόπο κατοικίας των παιδιών μου, μέχρι και την παραπομπή σε δίκη της συζύγου μου Μαρίας Μπεραχά που βρίσκεται εδώ ως συγκατηγορούμενή μου. Παρ’ όλα αυτά όμως, στέκομαι εδώ απέναντί σας και δηλώνω περήφανος για τον αγώνα μου, για τους συντρόφους μου, για την ιστορία του Επαναστατικού Αγώνα.
Η παρουσία μου εδώ δεν αποσκοπεί σε καμία περίπτωση στο να ελαφρύνω τη θέση μου, καθώς δεν αποδέχομαι οποιαδήποτε κατηγορία μου προσάπτει το αστικό καθεστώς. Δεν είμαι εγώ ο εγκληματίας ή ο τρομοκράτης, ούτε θεωρώ ότι οι ενέργειες της οργάνωσης ήταν καθ’ οποιονδήποτε τρόπο επιβλαβείς για την κοινωνία. Οι ενέργειες και οι παρεμβάσεις της οργάνωσης ήταν βαθύτατα πολιτικές και ωφέλιμες για την κοινωνία, καθώς στρέφονταν αποκλειστικά ενάντια στο καθεστώς, τους αξιωματούχους και τους λακέδες τους. Στρέφονταν ενάντια σε δομές και πρόσωπα του καπιταλιστικού συστήματος που καταπιέζει και καταδυναστεύει τους κοινωνικά αδύνατους.
Δεν είμαστε εμείς, λοιπόν, αυτοί που θα πρέπει να δικαστούν εδώ ως επικίνδυνοι για την κοινωνία. Επικίνδυνοι για την κοινωνία είναι αυτοί που εδώ και τόσα χρόνια κυβερνούν και ληστεύουν το λαό. Είναι αυτοί που υπηρετούν πιστά τα σχέδια της Τρόικας και του υπερεθνικού κεφαλαίου με στόχο να αφαιμάξουν και να εξαθλιώσουν τον ελληνικό λαό. Είναι αυτοί που επιβάλλουν δυσβάσταχτα οικονομικά μέτρα για να σώσουν το χρηματοπιστωτικό σύστημα και τα υπερκέρδη του. Είναι αυτοί που καλύπτουν όλους όσοι έχουν καταχραστεί τον πλούτο και την εργασία του λαού και δεν έχουν ποτέ δικάσει κανέναν. Είναι αυτοί που εξαπολύουν τους φονιάδες τους για να καταστείλουν κάθε κοινωνική αντίδραση.
Εμείς ως αγωνιστές του Επαναστατικού Αγώνα, δράσαμε και δρούμε για την ανατροπή του καπιταλισμού και του κράτους, για έναν ελεύθερο κόσμο όπου θα επιτευχθεί η πλήρης ισότητα των ανθρώπων σε οικονομικό, κοινωνικό και πολιτικό επίπεδο. Η οργάνωση γεννήθηκε μέσα στα προλεταριακά στρώματα της κοινωνίας και πάντα πάλευε για τα συμφέροντά της. Κάθε ενέργειά της, κάθε προκήρυξή της ήταν μια αχτίδα φωτός για την κοινωνία, μια κραυγή ανακούφισης για τους καταπιεσμένους, μια ελπίδα ότι μπορεί να ανατραπεί αυτό το άδικο καθεστώς. Οι καταπιεσμένοι, οι αδύνατοι, οι προλετάριοι, οι άνεργοι, οι ταξικοί σύμμαχοί μας είναι αυτοί που πρέπει να μας κρίνουν και όχι εσείς. Στο δρόμο, τις πλατείες, τις συνελεύσεις… Εκεί που έχουν καταδικάσει όλους εσάς.
Θα ήθελα να ξεκαθαρίσω, λοιπόν, ότι τόσο αυτό το ειδικό δικαστήριο, όσο και οποιοδήποτε άλλο δικαστήριο του αστικού καθεστώτος, δε μπορεί να δικάσει ένοπλες επαναστατικές οργανώσεις. Αυτό για τον πολύ απλό λόγο ότι τα συμφέροντα τα οποία εξυπηρετείτε και η τάξη στην οποία ανήκετε βρίσκονται a priori απέναντί μας. Το δικαστήριο αυτό είναι ταξικό και δικάζει με το «δίκαιο» του ισχυρού απέναντι στο επαναστατικό δίκαιο, το δίκαιο μιας χούφτας αγωνιστών που παλεύουν για την κοινωνική απελευθέρωση. Η δράση του Επαναστατικού Αγώνα δε μπορεί να κριθεί από εσάς, γιατί πολύ απλά η δράση αυτή στρέφεται εναντίον σας, του καπιταλιστικού συστήματος και της ταξικής δικαιοσύνης που πιστά υπηρετείτε. Είμαστε δυο εμπόλεμες δυνάμεις. Εσείς θωρακίζεστε πίσω από ειδικά διαμορφωμένους χώρους εντός των φυλακών, πίσω από ειδικές νομοθεσίες και σκοπεύετε πριν μας καταδικάσετε, να μας λοιδορήσετε και να αποπολιτικοποιήσετε τη δράση μας. Η δικιά μας παρουσία εδώ αποσκοπεί στο να αντιστρέψουμε τις εις βάρος μας κατηγορίες εναντίον σας, στο σύστημα που υπηρετείτε και να καταδείξουμε ότι οι δικές σας πράξεις είναι εγκληματικές και επικίνδυνες για την κοινωνία. Η πολιτική μάχη που θα δοθεί σ’ αυτό το δικαστήριο αποτελεί για εμάς το βήμα για να αναδειχθεί το δίκιο του αγώνα μας. Σε αυτήν τη μάχη δεν είμαστε μόνοι μας. Έχουμε πλάι μας ένα μεγάλο κομμάτι της κοινωνίας που έχει απαξιώσει το πολιτικο-οικονομικό σύστημα και απαιτεί δυναμικά να φύγουν όλοι οι παράγοντές του απ’ τον τόπο. Το γεγονός αυτό αποτελεί δικαίωση των επιλογών μας. Ο ένοπλος αγώνας ενάντια στο καθεστώς είναι σήμερα πιο επίκαιρος και πιο επιτακτικός από ποτέ. Γιατί δεν υπάρχει, για εμάς τους προλετάριους, άλλος τρόπος για να ξεπεράσουμε επιτυχώς την κρίση παρά να κάνουμε επανάσταση. Στην ταξική σύγκρουση που θα ακολουθήσει το επόμενο διάστημα τόσο εντός όσο και εκτός αυτής της αίθουσας, στο δρόμο, εμείς θα νικήσουμε.
