From Contra Info (June 29, 2012) via Anarchaos (June 28, 2012):
Operation Ardire Preventive Detention Order; Giuseppe arrested solely for having maintained a blog
In the Download section [of Anarchaos], we have published the comprehensive OCC (Order of Preventive Custody) written by the GIP (Preliminary Investigation Judge) and containing the entire lengthy summons (over 200 pages) requested by the PM (Public Prosecutor). The documents pertain to Operation Ardire, launched on June 13 with the arrest of eight comrades in Italy and indictments for two more in Germany and Switzerland.
We are asking comrades who maintain movement Web sites to help us spread the document. Our solidarity is unconditional. It’s not necessary to remind anyone of our disdain for legal papers. But familiarity with them can be useful in defending oneself. Even more so when we are facing a void, a deflated tire, with Alessandro and Sergio bring arrested for events that happened while they were in prison. Their sin is having gone on a week-long hunger strike, a behavior that—according to the ROS (Special Operations Group)—was the code signifying a green light for certain actions.
Among the arrestees there is one, Giuseppe, who is only to blame for having contributed to the Culmine, Iconoclasta, and ParoleArmate blogs. He is being accused of no other crimes (see article D on pages 4 and 5 of the Order). He has been arrested because “he prepared, wrote, or in some cases spread via the Culmine, Iconoclasta, and ParoleArmate Weblogs documents and communiqués referring to the criminal activities of groups from an informal anarchist organization,” and even “crimes aggravated by terrorist objectives.” Someone who may have published responsibility claims on the same sites, someone who may have spread information troublesome to the regime, from now on can be arrested. Executrix Manuela Comodi once again proves herself to be in the vanguard of repression. At this rate, the next investigation will be entrusted to the Gestapo.
Aren’t the barking civil libertarians deceiving us when—in the face of this blatant abuse of the norms of the liberal-bourgeois regime—they; the radicals; the so-called “sincere democrats”; and the reporters break our balls day after day in the newspapers about human rights violations, Internet repression, etc., as long as those things happen in China, in Arab countries, or in some regime that competes with and is adversarial toward the one we live in? Somewhat, but that doesn’t matter to us at all. However, as anarchists and revolutionaries who have never begged for the rights granted by the regime, we cannot fail to react—via all methods—in the face of an objective reduction of freedom of “the press” and “opinion.”
We are calling on movement Websites to coordinate a campaign together, at least a virtual one, for Giuseppe and for the general freedom to publish responsibility claims and documents troublesome to the regime.
The complete Order of Preventive Custody can be read here in Italian.
